Super sleep

In order to be most productive it is important to get a full 6-9 hours of shut eye sleep. The body's functions and systems recover especially during the night, from muscle recovery to purification of toxins, adequate sleep allows the body to perform at optimal level. Contrary to this, there are people referred to as "night owls" who only require 2 to 3 hours of sleep to function although I would not advise this. The negative effects of sleep deprivation are not worth risking.

Things you can do for a better sleep are:
  • Keeping the same sleeping schedule,
  • avoiding intense exercise before bed,
  • eating a light meal before bed and
  • minimising stress/anxiety.

Tip: Of course some people have commitments during the night but I would recommend if you can not get a minimum 6 hours then a nap can be effective during the day to help keep you rested. Talk to me on instagramPhoto credit here.
