Organic vs non organic foods

Organic foods are produced without synthetic (man made) pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers. Non organics use synthetics to produce the final food product. A study conducted conducted by Spangler in 2012 revealed that the health benefits of organic foods are unclear. No significant differences were found between organic and non organic food.

Hamstring Exercises

Supersets

What is a superset ? A superset is a set which includes another set of sets. This basically means doing 2 exercises in quick succession with minimal to no rest between them. You can either do opposing muscle group supersets or same muscle group supersets. Supersets are a great way to increase exercise volume by doing a high amount of exercise in a short time, increasing stamina as well as testing and improving ability.

Super sleep

In order to be most productive it is important to get a full 6-9 hours of shut eye sleep. The body's functions and systems recover especially during the night, from muscle recovery to purification of toxins, adequate sleep allows the body to perform at optimal level. Contrary to this, there are people referred to as "night owls" who only require 2 to 3 hours of sleep to function although I would not advise this. The negative effects of sleep deprivation are not worth risking.

High intensity interval training (HIIT)

High intensity interval training aka HIIT , is a cardio workout that focuses on short bursts of intense movement. A typical HIIT session would consist of 1 minute of high intensity exercise such as a sprint followed directly by a minute of rest or low activity (repeated). HIIT sessions are short and take usually between 5 to 30 minutes. HIIT sessions are not recommended for beginners as they are very taxing on the body’s muscular and respiratory systems.

What happens when you don't train legs

You've seen people with tiny calves and small legs with a bigger upper body, completely disproportionate to the overall aesthetics of their body build. These people who probably look like upside down triangles or a paradoxical tyrannosaurus Rex are killing any potential gains and progress. Excuses such as no one cares about how your legs look or I don't have time to train my legs are ridiculous for many reasons. Here are my top 5 facts why you should train legs: 1. Largest muscles are in legs - bigger muscles means lifting bigger loads which means more strength and greater fat deposits burned by the increase of your metabolism.
